A Million Moons Before Sunrise

Category: Photos,Prose/EssaysSeven @ 1:01 am

I know the way he was forced to live because of his fame was very isolating. And no doubt sometimes nerve-wracking, where he may have felt like an amoeba beneath the humongous eye of the world’s cruel and judgmental microscope. Worst is the media and tabloids but really all of it, living in a forced microcosm of life, a tiny prison, lonely and full of too many people with one agenda or another.

A Million Moons Before Sunrise

Still . . . everywhere he’s been, every breath he took, every word he said and every gesture, every dance, every note he sang, every time he laughed, every smile and glance, every tendril of his hair caught by the wind or caressed with light is precious to me.

He was an angel in our midst and I can’t forget the sheer magic of his light, his absolutely unpretentious sweetness, his innocent childlike silliness, his stunning talent, his unheard-of strength, and above all, his beauty – not only physical but the beauty of his heart and soul.

Especially the beauty of his heart and soul.

Some days I feel so sweetly saturated with his presence I fear the beat of his wings might become my only breath. I learned he’d had a copy of the Bhagavad-Gita. Every little thing . . .If I have to wait a million moons before sunrise, I’ll be fine. . . as long as I have Michael in my heart, and he will always be in my heart.

    Hi Seven!
The picture is simply beautiful! I could watch it for hours! It captures the inner and outer beauty he possessed!Thank you very much for your efforts in showing the world who our beloved Michael really was! God bless you!

Megaechad : I probably was a Michael fan from when he was young, but I did not have one single item of him. Remember watching all his vids on Tv, and always thought he was innocent of all the charges. But I did not know so much about him. Then on June 25, my live changed completely. Now I have been investigating, reading listening, average, I think 8 hours a day, in total must be thousands of hours, since that live changing date. He is always on my mind. And every day he amazes me more. I have catched up a lot in all this time, and I did make me a word document containing almost 500 pages of writings of people that knew Michael. I cannot get enough of him, and love him terribly. Moreover, every day I at least have to do something postive for somebody. He is sweetness personified. Yes, something happened on June 25 that changed the world. I miss him and regret that only at age 57 started to know not only the artist, but also the man.

I don’t know how to say this. I’m a rational person. I feel the same way as Megaechad (above). Before Michael died I had only seen pictures of him–had never seen him dance or even move, or heard him speak. Then the funniest thing–I rented “This Is It” one night, thinking I’d see a “freak” but instead something profound happened. I was struck dumb by the utter goodness of the man. My life changed forever after watching it and “seeing” him. There is not a day that goes by that I don’t think of Michael.I feel like he has flooded me with love. How can this be, I think. He’s only an entertainer, isn’t he? But I don’t believe it. He’s made me a better person.I only wish I’d found him sooner.

How I feel was expressed by one of his fans in an open letter posted on a website after he passed away. I don’t remember the website, and hope Lisa Markarian will forgive me for posting her letter here, but it speaks for me–probably speaks for a lot of us.

    Dear Michael,

The first time I felt compassion was the night of USA Africa. Listening to Heal the World opened a tender place in my heart which has only continued to grow. Now, I shoulder the pain and burden of others, helping to bring them peace and joy, if only for one moment. I do it in my way as you did it in yours. That night set me on a path toward my life purpose, and it began with your words.

Your compassion, genuine nature, perfection, resilience, humor, creativity, innocence and most of all the depth of your pain mixed with the depth of your love will be missed so very much.

Because of you I will walk each day with my head held high, take the power I have within and use it for good, find the forgiveness for myself that I need. Because of you I will always be there for the people that need me and will learn to tell them that I love them. Because of you I will never let others steal the spirit I have in life. Because of you, I will.

    Love Always, Lisa Markarian

Our Love for Michael is like an eternal flame that burns within us. It will Never die..just like will Never die! Something I’ve been doing for a few months now..(I’m determined to change a few hearts) everytime I go out no matter where I go I’ll leave a “Michael calling card”. Whether its on the benches where I go for my walks, counters at the checkout, along side the mirrors at the movie theaters, church pews, etc…just a little something to get people thinking. This is so important to me, especially now. If we all did this just think what we could do. I am so in sync with you all..Michael is our world!!!

  6. Doris Gorgo says:

Thanks for the beautiful words. Your articles are wonderful and
every enlightening. Michael is indeed a beautiful person both
inside and out. I too believe that he was surrounded by too many
people with too many agendas. However, even with his hectic
schedule, he somehow took the time to visit sick children in
hospitals and spend time with them. It was interesting to read
the comment made by megaechad of 3/30 wherein she states that
she had never really thought about or knew much about Michael
until after his death. I am so thrilled that she is now
taking the time to learn about him. She will be amazed. I hope
there will be many more like her who will take the time to read
and realize that Michael was not only the greatest entertainer
ever, he was an absolute genius and a beautiful, loving and
compassionate man. His death has been a huge loss to the world
and has had a very devastating effect on his loving fans. He is
greatly missed. There is not a day that goes by that I do not
think of him and admire the fact that even after all he went
through, he still emerged always a gentleman. Michael will live in
    our hearts forever.

  7. carina for mjj says:

Thank you 7 for this post.I don´t know when another human being has touched so many
and caused this outpouring of emotion. As I have said before Michael will not be forgotten and more in depth books will be written about him in the future. It may not
yet be the the time for that.

  8. Seven says:

Yes, I definitely do NOT agree with his analysis towards the end! But the rest of it is very well said.

  9. BlueLotus says:

It is very reassuring that Michael had read Bhagvad Gita…

Here is a beautiful tribute by a Hindu Spiritual leader to MJ after his death (I don’t agree with some of his analysis towards the end) but its reassuring to me that people who are spiritual can see the light of MJ.

  10. Susan T says:

Seven, the way you describe how Michael has affected you can only come from a heart that is so profoundly touched. Your feelings and emotions simply have to be expressed. If a person didn’t know that passionate longing before, this near perfect, loving being surely awakened it. When you feel it, it’s akin to being a butterfly gradually emerging from its cocoon. Once free, the beauty is stunning as it takes flight, bringing its own special expression to our world.

Take heart, Seven, you will see him again and when you do, words will fail you. From there on, it will be conscious connection of two loving souls–beyond your wildest imaginations.

@megaechad–your comment is too sweet! When it comes to loving Michael Jackson, I honestly believe the rocks and trees and animals love pay homage to him! Age is certainly no restriction. I’ve always been a fan of his music (loved him as that cherub-faced dynamo child) but didn’t follow his every move when he became an adult artist. It was hearing the shocking news in June ’09 and subsequently seeing This Is it that introduced me to that phenomenal feeling that took ahold of literally hundreds of thousands of people–even the previously disinterested–and rocked our world.

In one statement, Michael Jackson has changed my life forever.

Thanks, Seven. The photo you included takes your breath away.

  11. susannah says:

It helps me to know you are at peace and finally safe. But I miss you more with each passing day.
Your love was like a protective shield against all the anger in this world. Now I feel like I am bombarded with it. You are with me always. I swear not a moment goes by that you aren’t on my mind. Please watch over this poor planet my angel. You were wrong Michael. I love you more…

  12. Solar says:

As they say, a picture paints a thousand words and, Seven, you did that brilliantly in this post! Captivating, beyond human words!

  13. Ellen says:

For me, Michael is the brightest star and the sweetest angel in heaven. I love and adore him with all my heart and soul and pray that he is now finally at peace. Missing you so much, sweet Michael.

  14. megaechad says:

Can´t understand why this man caused such feelings in so many people and I, despite being an old lady, am one of them. It is completely under comprehension. I only found him after he died, so I lost much, that is why everyday I have to try to catch up with 45 years of his life I missed. Where was I? How could I be so unaware of what was happening? I cannot say. All I know is that when I found him, I was overtaken with a kind of emotion I really never felt before and that is everyday. I have to have him in my ears and in my eyes every single day.I cry for him every day. That never happened to me. What does this mean? What kind of magic did this man have since he was little? He was an enchanted and enchanting boy. I feel I don´t have words as Seven does, words that could show all that he was and still is affecting so many people around the world. I am sure that though he is not with us anymore this man will not be forgotten not this year not in a long long time. He taught me to say I love you and I really love him from the bottom of my heart. And another thing this love is still growing and growing…

  15. Joyce says:

You are truly blessed with an amazing gift of expression! Simply beautiful, heartfelt words that so perfectly describe our incredible, loving angel, Michael Jackson, that we will love forever with all of our hearts, minds and souls!
That picture is absolutely gorgeous! I do understand that it cannot be copied. I am very glad that I will always be able to find it here so I can look at it as often as I desire!! It is breathtaking!

  16. alicia says:

Thanks Seven, you are so amazing and Michael is smiling, saying-good work, keep it up

  17. Maria says:

Michael was a gift from God.

  18. appleh says:

This is amazing. Exactly how I feel. He´s with me every single day til the end of my life. I read somewhere, that MJ was very interested in spirituallity and that he was near to hinduism, but I must admit that I´ve never heard about bhagavad-gita before. His thirst for knowledge and the beauty of his heart and soul make him absolutely adorable for me ! Nothing will ever get between me and my love for him !

  19. Michelle says:

Seven, thanks so much for this! It’s so true and beautiful. We live and breathe Michael every day because he still is missed and loved around the world!!!

  20. GiveIn says:

Hi 7, this is the first time I’m commenting on your blog but I’ve been following it for more than a year now. I wanted to thank you for your wonderful articles. I’m amazed of how much information you get and then put it together, keep up the good work.

Ever since 25/june/09 there is NO ONE day that goes by that he’s not present in my life….he is everywhere, in my mind, my heart, my dreams….sometimes I miss him so much I feel like I’m going insane….this is crazy! He has changed my life for good and I will love him and be grateful forever.

  21. Vanessa Donovan says:

Such beautiful words and so true x

  22. Moniek says:

This is so beautiful and so true!

  23. Maryann says:

I still cannot believe he is gone !
I will never get used to it!
He was a part of my life for over 40 years …
A piece of my heart died with him.
    LOVE you Michael.

  24. Bev says:

You took the words right out of my mouth!
The Love just get’s stronger and the pain …. at times unbearable thinking of what Michael went through so unneccessarily & that we have lost this precious man.
Thanks for your beautiful posts Seven …. xx

  25. olmick says:
