According to many young people today, if you can book a homestay, you will never choose a hotel. Homestay was once new hot spot in decor industry. Depending on style, price difference could be more than you think. We have disassembled regular files and individual files. Find out what is difference between 200 per night and 20,000 per night.
1. Position difference
Conventional homestays are mostly located in scenic areas or urban areas and are being transformed from conventional homes. Due to relatively high competition, there are many suites. The surrounding life and transport accessibility are convenient, there is no shortage of guest resources.
This does not apply to luxury homestays. Take, for example, Qinglongwu, located in Tonglu, Zhejiang Province. This is a quaint little village on side of a mountain. The natural landscapes and historical landscape merge into each other, which is quite charming.
2. Another template
Conventional homestays do not require additional planning and can be converted based on original site. You just need to simply separate public area and recreation area in family. The essence is still in patterns of residential buildings.
This is not case in Qinglongwu. The rammed earth walls, bamboo fences, thatched gazebos and bamboo benches in courtyard have been preserved intact, and a hanging mountain pool has been installed that combines tradition with modernity. .
3. Differences in public places
The layout of public area of conventional B&Bs is mostly domestic. The living area is same as living room, and some are equipped with balconies and kitchens, and area is also very limited.
On contrary, in elite families there are almost no restrictions on public places. Qinglongwu has a bar, and retro space is actually a modern bar that features fine wines from all over world.
The entire ground floor of main building is used as a public area. In addition to bar, there are also long tables where you can eat and gather more than a dozen people. The recessed living room on side has also become a comfortable space for relaxation.
4. Differences in rooms
Regular bed and breakfasts are mostly decorated in blue and white or light colors, creating a simple or small and fresh style, with a transparent visual space, but staying that way is easy.
There are more options for high class homestay accommodation. There are two small courtyards in front of and behind Qinglongwu, a small two-story building and a row of bungalows, but there are only a few rooms. Some rooms have their own small courtyards, interior space is larger, and finishing materials are more textured.
In outer courtyard, there is an outdoor gazebo where you can have an outdoor barbecue, and there is also a rustic clay oven where you can participate in various outdoor activities or sit quietly in front of porch, enjoy tea and go on a tour.
