To live in such a small country yard is not only away from bustle of city, but also a good place to relax.
Then let's find out more about how these rural houses have affected local life~
The first family is located in beautiful Jinhua District of Zhejiang Province. The buildings in village are built close to mountains, most of which consist of wooden filled earthen ramparts. A small stream flows through village, old trees are still preserved by stream. Qingxiao Shanju is located by stream next to ancient trees in village, opposite green hills and fields.
At first glance, this is a small traditional farmhouse, which is not very conspicuous, but when you enter courtyard along gravel road, you will enter another world. The inner courtyard is completely paved with stone pavement and is connected to outside world through a wide terrace, which is also a good place to enjoy scenery.
The interior features bamboo and wood ceilings, while furniture and handicrafts are of exquisite craftsmanship, much of which is handcrafted to greatest extent retaining original texture of raw material.
The second floor is also purely Chinese in style, with a square pattern that leaves plenty of room for study.
The room has a private terrace where you can enjoy view while taking a bath.
The second homestay is located in ancient city. Newly built in keeping with surrounding traditional buildings, it becomes a complex of traditional and modern buildings.
The newly built 5 separate buildings are separated from "three rooms and two ends" residential building in western part of Sichuan province into separate independent blocks and yards. Then develop shape of window frame from floor to ceiling in form of a piercing, so that unfolded surface of building can receive golden sunlight time to greatest extent.
The interior layout is transparent, illuminated from three sides. Proper installation of mirrors and hollow partitions significantly increases level of space.
The design of courtyard space is highly complex, stretching atmosphere. The rough gravel road and earthen brick walls are simple and heavy, majestic and simple, full of meaning of life.
The third house was converted from an old abandoned cave dwelling. Three stoves in yard of 20 square meters each, yard is about 100 square meters, total renovation area is about 200 square meters. The exterior is very modern, but courtyard retains much of original building's walls and layout.
Loess walls with ravines, winding stone roads, ancient window bars... These details embody leisure and comfort of rural life.
The designer redesigned courtyard to make it more sensible. With addition of three cave dwellings after the layout, there are only five houses, and each room has a bathroom.
The rammed earth is used as a false ceiling with built-in ceiling lights. The top is traditional and bottom is modern. Time is divided and merges with space, creating a huge visual impact.
A window connects interior with a small loess courtyard. The vaults of cave dwelling emphasize picturesque beauty. The old and new buildings around form an overarching trend and form a courtyard-style layout, revealing Chinese aesthetics everywhere.
The latest homestay is cave-inspired. The entire building is painted pure white and 50 skylights are open, meaning you can look up at starry sky.
The designer uses interspersed block and cave arch design techniques, pure material details such as cement eco-friendly paint, terrazzo and old wood, and mixed forms of virtual and real to integrate pure things into an extremely rich look.
Using clash of materials to create a level of space, it is both simple and light, and combines three aspects of "live, think and eat" in one place. Let visitor's thoughts be washed and organized.
The fluid collision of natural and artificial elements creates a visual experience step by step using original techniques.
