Many say that emergence of New Chinese Style is a revival of traditional Chinese architecture. In recent years, more and more new Chinese-style buildings have appeared, many of which can be called classics. But did you know that many of new Chinese style designs you like are actually made by foreigners.

1. Park Hyatt Sanya Sunny Bay

Design: Jean-Michel Gati

Located in Sunny Bay, Sanya, surrounded by mountains on three sides and facing sea on one side. It belongs to excellent feng shui "the front is lit, back is leaning, green dragon is on left, and white tiger is on right."

Spacious internal corridors connect six buildings to each other. The corridors are magnificent in style, adhering to black and red color scheme highly valued during Qin and Han dynasties, noble and elegant, and quite ancient.

2. Hangzhou Fuchun Resort

Design: Jean-Michel Gati

Also by Gathy. The hotel building as a whole has white walls, blue bricks and gray tiles. It lives by water, and water is there when you open door. It has characteristics of Jiangnan. The gray and white Song and Yuan style buildings combine modern comfort of hotel with mountains and wildlife on banks of Fuchun River outside.

The indoor swimming pool is main feature of entire building and also a genius idea. A wave of clear water lies under carved beams and painted buildings, adding a touch of ancient Roman style to Chinese architectural pattern, which is impressive.

3. Nanxun Huajiangtang Qiushuli

Design: Thomas Dariel

It was renovated and built in an old villa during Republic of China era. The designer is well versed in Huizhou architectural style and retained most of entire building, only partially correcting and sublimating it.

The most unique feature of entire villa is color scheme of the interior, a bright and eye-catching color system set to simple black and white tones. A mixture of aesthetic sense of escape and harmony.
