Second: detailed walling techniques and precautions
▶Stakeout
First clear ground, figure out where wall will be built, draw out ink line and use laser level to make sure line is vertical so wall is not skewed.
▶Irrigation
On eve of erection of wall, bricks should be poured with clean water in order to subsequently increase adhesion to cement mortar. When erecting walls, you can ask about proportion of cement mortar. When building walls, ratio of cement to mortar is usually 1 to 3. If ratio of cement to mortar is not correct, structure of the wall will not be stable, and problems will easily occur later. Even cracks, collapses and so on.
▶Suspension wire
On both sides of top and back of wall, use a plumb bob or laser level to fix vertical nylon line with steel nails as a guideline for horizontal nylon line to move. The horizontal nylon wire should be secured with a slipknot to facilitate movement.
▶Masonry
Once everything is in place and wall is ready to be erected, according to site conditions and conditions, steel rods (called wall bolts) should be implanted at appropriate locations between new bricks of brick wall and old wall. to prevent future damage. Third: Precautions when erecting walls:
1. Wall brick is mainly divided into red brick and light brick. Light bricks cannot be used to build walls. Light bricks have good water absorption, but they are light in weight and cheap in price. They can be used in bedrooms, especially in ultra-high residential areas, but cannot be used in kitchens and bathrooms.
2. Newly erected walls must be made of waterproof beams. Because bathrooms and kitchens are often waterlogged, flooding with waterproofing beams can prevent moisture from returning down wall causing water to seep into wall, as well as preventing mold from growing on other side of wall and cabinets.
3, tendon Lajie, that is tendon landing. A wall tie is a connection between a concrete structure (mainly a concrete column and a wall) and a brick structure. As a rule, two steel rods with a diameter of 6 mm are placed side by side at a distance of 500 mm and a total length of 500 mm. They go into wall for 100 mm, with hooks at both ends. The function is to maintain integrity of entire structure and at same time play role of seismic resistance.

5. Filling door lintel. The so-called door lintel refers to beam above door and window opening. It carries load on top of door and window opening and transfers it to walls on both sides of door and window to prevent door and window frame from collapsing or deforming.
6, oblique cut. The topmost bricks are placed obliquely to prevent cracking caused by settling of house.
7, cut every other day. The top brick of new wall must be installed every other day or more often to avoid gaps between top brick and beam due to settlement of new wall.
8. Spraying with water for maintenance. Spraying with water every day after finishing for more than 3 days, so that mortar and brick can be tightly joined without gaps or cracks.

Fourth: maintenance of walls:
▶Due to relatively large amount of oil smoke, walls and tiles in kitchen are easiest to get dirty and hardest to clean. The easiest way is to stick anti-oil sticker before using kitchen. Place circle around range hood and stove where oil splatters easily. When cleaning, simply wipe it down with your regular detergent and a rag.
